Need help managing stress with a few good habits?

It is easy to let stress get the better of us as life gets busier and our days more full with each passing year. I know that my life feels like it is fuller and flying by the older I get. I also have noticed that when I get busy, sometimes I take a little less good care of myself. Does this happen to you?
Throughout the last few years, I have discovered that a few things work well for me to help manage my stress better. My daily habits to combat the effects of stress are:
1. Write a daily “To-Do List”
I find that it helps me organize and prioritize what is most important, stay focused on the task at hand, and I always get a little adrenaline rush when I cross something off from my list.
2. Eat a Power Breakfast
I like smoothies and usually choose one or two seasonal fruits and blend them with kale or spinach and 1/4 of an avocado with a cup or two of water. Eating well fuels your brain and body, allowing for sustained energy.
3. Prioritize Exercise
I like to either walk or stretch gently for 10 minutes once or twice a day. Exercise helps us to shift our energy from a high-pressure mode into a more refreshed state of being, allowing for more clarity of mind, which I need when I’m busy and stressed.
I know stress is a challenge and that there are times when we all are busier and under more pressure than others. Try making these three tips a habit every day and see how they help you when the heat gets turned-up in your life.
